DVA EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGY

Individual exercise physiology for eligible DVA clients at our Tingalpa clinic, with mobile appointments in Landsborough and surrounding Sunshine Coast hinterland communities.

Rehabilitation around your goals

Gavin Cooper, an ESSA Accredited Clinical Exercise Physiologist, develops a program around your health conditions, movement capacity and daily activities. Your goals may include improving walking tolerance, strength, balance or confidence with everyday tasks.

Exercise is tailored to your assessment and progressed at a suitable pace. We review how you respond and adjust the program as your needs change.

Your first appointment

We discuss your health history, current symptoms and rehabilitation goals, then assess relevant movement and physical capacity. You receive an individual exercise plan and guidance on exercises you can continue between appointments.

With your consent, we can communicate with your referring doctor and other treating professionals to support coordinated care.

DVA eligibility and referrals

DVA funding depends on your Veteran Card, treatment eligibility and a valid referral. Gold Card holders may be eligible for clinically necessary treatment. White Card holders may be eligible for treatment relating to their accepted conditions. Please contact us before your appointment so we can check the referral and funding arrangements that apply to you.

Bring your Veteran Card, referral, medication list and any relevant clinical information. We will explain the appointment arrangements and any applicable fees before treatment begins.
