WHAT PEOPLE SAY
John, W
I have been working with Gav for the last year. The progress we have made has kept me going forward when I thought my running days were over. An absolute professional who makes it his business to know and understand you, thereby ensuring your training suits your needs. Would highly recommend Gav to anyone who is looking to make a difference in their life.
It taken me a while to find a specialist trainer who listens to what their clients needs are, and doesn't just copy and paste a program across their clientele. I really wanted my training to focus on improving my surfing and Gav took the time to research what I needed. He has delivered weekly sessions with lots of variety and explained why it was relevant to my sport. The bonus is he isn't just a normal PT, he is an exercise physiologist which gives me extra confidence in his programs. I couldn't be happier and I highly recommend seeing him. His studio is spotless and well equipped.
I've been training with Gav for over 7 years and always feel motivated, encouraged and supported during and after our sessions. Gav has really helped me achieve my fitness goals and improve my technique, strength and health in my everyday life. Gav is the real deal so I highly recommend!!!

Founded by Gavin Cooper, an Accredited Exercise Physiologist and experienced Personal Trainer, Allied Active combines over 12 years of experience across hospital settings, private clinics, studios, and major gym networks.
Experience You Can Trust
Gavin began his career as a Personal Trainer, running his own franchise within a large gym network for over seven years. This gave him a strong foundation in working with diverse client goals including weight loss, strength and hypertrophy, sports performance, boxing, HIIT, flexibility training, and myofascial release.
As he encountered more clients with complex medical conditions — such as diabetes, musculoskeletal injuries, and heart disease — Gavin pursued further study, completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology to provide safe and effective care for higher-needs clients.
Following his degree, Gavin worked at The Prince Charles Hospital in the Cardiac Science Unit, where he was involved in advanced cardiac diagnostics, stress testing, and monitoring. This experience has given him a deep understanding of heart conditions and safe exercise prescription in cardiac rehabilitation.
